Did you read our feature on Glitch Mob? If you missed it, have a read. The thing that makes this trio so fascinating is that unlike many of their laptop wielding contemporaries, these young synth lords actually perform all of their songs live, accompanied by intricate lighting rigs and beautiful Cirque Du Soleil trained aerialists. You don’t have too many more opportunities to catch them… The Mob are nearly finished with their 35 city summer tour which has seen them selling out large venues from San Francisco's Regency Theatre to NYC's Terminal 5. Their last show of August sees them headlining in their (which also happens to be our) hometown at LA's Club Nokia tonight Friday August 19th. After Los Angeles, the trio will continue on a handful of US dates including The Langerado Festival before crossing over-seas to conquer Europe this October and November.

It’s not just the underground world that is embracing this guys, pop culture is waking up thanks to their songs being featured in various video games, trailers for major films like the new Captain America movie and Tim Burton's 9, as well as numerous television show trailers including FX’s Damages as well as the upcoming Spartacus commercial for Starz. In addition, the Fiat commercial features "Warrior Concerto"—one of the songs from their recent release—We Can Make The World Stop EP.

And if that wasn’t enough, in the fifth season of the NBC show America’s Got Talent, one of the contestants, a dance group known as "Fighting Gravity," performed their act to music predominately provided by The Glitch Mob. Sadly, the group made it to the final episode, but did not win receiving runner's up title instead. Oh well.

Anywho… here’s the video for “We Can Make The World Stop.” Things start out with a young man being escorted into a house full guys you don’t wanna fuck around with. At first glance you can’t help but think dude his screwed. However, it turns out the facility is a training ground for psychic warriors that not only fight with their fists, but also their mind, and the video showcases their induction process. This ceremony includes meditation that summons the power of ancient traditions and animal spirits, eventually allowing the leading character to perform telekinesis. Pretty awesome video… see for yourself.
