Pretty bummed I missed CMJ this year. Seeing Norway’s Casiokids would have been nice. I hear they turned Piano into a sloshing pit of merriment incorporating shadow puppets, video projections and animal costumes. Awesome! Speaking of fun things, check out their video for their new single “Det haster!” Gotta love the cameos from ALF, Furby and all the other childhood favorites. The single is taken from Aabenbaringen over aaskammen (“The Revelation over the mountain”), the full-length follow up to the band’s US singles collection “Topp stemning på lokal bar” (“Great vibe at local bar”). It’s out now via Polyvinyl. If you’re the vinyl type, there’s a special limited edition of 500 copies on 180 gram blue vinyl.
