Leisure System has been running a residency at Berghain in Berlin for the last three years, mostly focusing on more leftfield forms of electronic dance music. Pretty much everyone from Autechre, FlyLo and Chris Clark, to Surgeon, Egyptian Lover, Jackmaster and Bok Bok has played at one of their nights. Leisure System is now expanded, taking their name to London’s Corsica Studios, State X New Forms festival and beyond. Their next night at Berghain will go down December 2nd with DJ Funk, Actress, Nathan Fake and Ikonika. They’ve also expanded the brand into a record label, aiming at the same open-minded and slight eclectic attitude that is the foundation of their club nights. Their first release (B2 "In the Mind") was an atmospheric and soulful take on UK-influenced electronic dance music by Russian producer Pixelord, while their second release (“Feldspar/Psycho”) crosses the ocean and comes with a simple agenda: providing the soundtrack for a rave of epic proportions. San Francisco based producer Eprom delivers. Look for it coming on vinyl November 21st.
