Rhonda is a special lady. Not only does she promise an unforgettable (or very forgettable, however you want to look at it) night, but she gets better with age like a fine wine. Just when you think you can die happy, Rhonda gets bigger and better. Friday, February 10th, marks the second Rhondavous of the year. Mark your calendars boys and girls; we have a heavy lineup of selectors upon us.

All the way from Belgium, Aeroplane will be gracing us with his globally praised disco touch. If you’ve caught Aeroplane before at Rhonda a couple of years ago, or at other parties, you know what to expect. If not, I hope you’re ready. I’ve been following Aeroplane’s monthly mixes for about three years now and I must admit that a large chunk of my yearly favorites are accumulated through those. Anything from cosmic disco to tropical house tunes, Aeroplane’s rare LA appearance isn’t to be missed.

Also performing is a slice of the east coast, no other than Morgan Geist. If you’re unfamiliar with names such as Metro Area and Storm Queen, then I don’t think we can be friends. Morgan is responsible for some of the best house music of the decade and is considered a legend among an impressively large variety of fans and artists. I actually haven’t had the pleasure of catching him spin records before, so thanks Rhonda.

I highly doubt you need any more reasons to attend this edition of A Club Called Rhonda, but there’s still one more guest on this lineup. Optimo. Need I say more? This UK duo embraces everything that Rhonda’s party represents. Optimo helped pave the way for passionate all night long partiers today, and are respected for pushing the boundaries of nightlife culture in general. Their crates go deep and their selections are always a surprise. Again, I’ve never seen these guys before so I’m quite excited to finally catch them.

Alright, the countdown begins. The icing on the cake for Rhonda is definitely the talented pair of residents, GODDOLLARS and Paradise. Always arrive early because those two kill it and are some of LA’s finest. More info + location details can be found on the Facebook event page and over at their website.
