Starbreeze Studios is stepping up their game with the use of Nero, Flux Pavillion, Skrillex and Digitalism as the key heavy weights in the upcoming video game Syndicate. Look for it on February 21 via EA.
Electronic music and video games have been getting it on for a little while now. It has a way of enhancing the level of intensity as you slash all the enemies in your path. Syndicate—set in 2069—takes you into a dark world where corporations are vying for market dominance. With no government to question their intentions or actions, the three-mega corporations Eurocorp, Cayman Global and Aspari are at the forefront and “Business is War.” Sounds a bit like real life. Taking on the role of Miles Kilo, Eurocorp's latest prototype agent, players have the latest biochip technology implanted in their head. Through this technology, known as the DART 6 chip, gamers can dilate time, see through walls and breach the digital world and your enemies by using a variety of upgradeable hacking mechanics. It sounds like a brutal sci-fi shooter experience, which sadly isn’t my cup of tea, but I do enjoy the soundtrack.
Of the four artists, Digitalism’s rendition of “Syndicate” is holding the favorite title, while the boys of Nero are following close behind in second. Syndicate will function on X360, PS3, and PC. All tracks are available for free download via Syndicate’s Official Facebook page. Enjoy!
