I can’t tell you how many random situations I’ve been in where we’ve had a device ready to play some music with, but no speakers nearby. It’s a sad situation, but an extremely easy fix if you follow some simple steps provided by sound artist Yuri Suzuki. Yuri is a respected electronic musician who explores the realms of sound through design. He recently partnered up with Red Stripe to show how easy it is to create your own speaker with a can and some household items. Whether it’s iPod speakers for the beach or something to connect to your computer at home, this should do the job.
