From the team responsible for Swanky Tunes and Hard Rock Sofa comes newcomer on the scene, 21-year-old Frenchman Tom Tyger. Line, his first EP, on Tiger Records was released on Friday including a stellar remix package from Dyro and Dannic. You can grab the EP on Beatport here.
2011 was a defining year for Tom, both in the studio and on the road. Tom spent much of the year gearing up for his releases this year that are sure to catch your attention. He has a special live experience that has been revealed with gigs alongside legendary DJs like Laidback Luke, Bob Sinclair and Sebastian Ingrosso. Tom has played throughout the region in France, Belgium and Morocco, namely at Technoparade Paris and Sundance Festival in Montreux. You can catch him at No Sugar Added at Nikki Beach during Miami Music Week this month.
Tom Tyger is a progressive house DJ/Producer, but his sound is all over the place…in a good way. The principal track off his EP "Line" mixes smooth chords with a clean distorted sound to create a big room banger.
Not yet released are three more tracks that we have a preview of for you. "Loving Hatred" has an Axwell-esque piano riff that we love while "Thunder" hints at destruction, resembling Dutch house and reminding us of Sandro Silva & Quintino's "Epic." "Trancy In The Stars" is exactly what it sounds like; progressive house/trance with kick drums that give it a mild dub vibe that works.
