I wouldn’t be surprised if Elliot Gleave (aka Example) was thinking about and processing ideas every seconds of the day. I’m not sure how to explain the fact that he’s released an album once a year for the past four years—two of which debuted at the number one spot back-to-back. Talk about a tedious task. He’s a heavy weight within the electronic dance community in the United Kingdom. In addition to his LPs, Gleave has collaborated with Laidback Luke on the banger “Natural Diaster,” he’s worked with Flux Pavilion on “Daydreamer” and even caught of the attention of rapper Ludacris who is featured on the remixed version of “Changed the Way You Kiss Me.”
Gleave raps, he sings, he’s a lyricist and he’s not an easy one to pin down in the genre department. He doesn’t perform on stage behind a set of turntables, he gives fans a taste of his musical genius supported by a live band, drums, guitar, bass, keyboards, the whole nine yards. This past March, he made his debut here in the States performing a live set in front of a sold-out crowd at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Here's to hoping Example conquers the States with his endless talents.
