In exactly 15 days the west side will experience the biggest EDM festival Stateside, Electric Daisy Carnival. As the hype surrounding Insomniac’s event continues to build to maximal crazy levels, chicks have started to ponder what the hell to wear. It’s what we do, though some not as much as others.
Considering electronic dance music continues to advance (our scene being on the verge of acceptance in the mainstream world and all), it’s about time our fashion sense moved forward with it. If you’re one of the ones wondering what pair of furry boots to rock, or tutu to wear, or what color pasties go best, stop. Don’t do it. No offense, but it’s not a good look—especially when I see women my mother’s age running around in said attire. I blame you.
I’m not saying there’s a, “You must dress fashion forward” rule or anything, but we can do better than the nonsense I see at events all the time.
That said, I decided to compile a style guide. A few looks to show chicks in the EDM world that you can turn the heads without looking ridiculous.
