It’s an interesting time in electronic music right now. You can sense the implosion coming, yet there’s still a part of me that’s optimistic. I mean, there’s no denying that the music is being dumbed down right now like never before, but that’s really to be expected when anything goes from underground to mainstream acceptance.
How crazy is that Sensation comes to the USA for the first time and sells out tickets for October 27 in less than two hours. If you’re all bummed about that, you can still get limited tickets for October 26 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Chances are that won’t be the case for long. I tell you, Live Nation Entertainment is going to change the event game. You heard about Disco Donnie, right? You know what else will turn shit upside down, when Clear Channel basically turns into Radio 1 and flips the EDM switch across America. Sure, you can hear some music on the radio right now, but that'll be a game changer for sure.
