If you fancy yourself an EDM culture junkie, nightlife up and down the So Cal coast is throbbing with nocturnal treasures. House music all night long—or what ever genre of electronic music that gets you off, there’s something of all flavors. Here’s a quick look at some events we’re looking forward to. Hard Rock Sofa, Hook N Sling and BeatauCue
Friday night Control at Avalon in Hollywood is always a good time. This week they have Hard Rock Sofa, Hook N Sling and BeatauCue providing the big room entertainment for the night. We’re actually holding a ticket contest for this week right now via our Facebook page. Click through if you’re feeling lucky. The winner will be selected tomorrow. Of course you can bypass that and pick up tickets yourself.
Calvin Harris
Lure Nightclub has house music maestro Calvin Harris on Friday night too. Guess what? We’ve got two tickets up for grabs for this event as well. Like Control, we’re holding a photo caption contest via our Facebook page here. The person that comes up with the most popular caption (meaning whom ever receives the most “likes”) will score a pair of tickets for this Friday night. The winner will be selected Friday morning, 8 am. Be sure to check on our Facebook page as we’ll tag the winner’s name in the comments for the contest. Not feeling very creative for the photo caption contest, pick up tickets for $100 here.
MiM0SA
Dubsteper MiMoSA is playing at Ten Nightclub in Newport Beach on Sunday. If we were in the Orange County area that’s where we’d be. Is it just us or does MiM0SA always leaves his audience in awe? Markus Schulz
Heading further south, Markus Schulz will be entertaining the dancefloor with his progressive meets house meets trance vibe for Intervention Sundays at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. Zedd
The folks at LED in San Diego have Zedd on Sunday along with Dallas K and Mossberg Pump at Wavehouse in Pacific Beach. You can pick up tickets here. Zedd recently tapped mashup man 3Lau (pronounced Blau) to remix his tune “Spectrum” which we have as a free EDM download here. And you can read our interview with Zedd is here.
Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano
To close out a weekend of proper merrymaking, Monday Night Social at Playhouse in Hollywood is a good time. They have Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano from Holland doing their thing this coming week.
