There’s really nothing bad you can say about a free party—especially when it’s Mad Decent amazing. We arrived around 3 pm or so to catch Bonde Do Role who really killed it with a variety of baile funk, some Colombian beats and other chopped up bass-bad-ass-ness. The crowd was a mix of all ages ranging from hipsters to bass kids and all round EDM culture fans. It's not all just about house music, and it's nice to see this amount of enthusiasm for a party that doesn't have 50-foot LCD screens, fireworks and lasers. The music was driving it, huh... go figure.

After they wrapped we headed for the VIP area to grab some drinks and catch up with some of our pals, we could over hear 3BALL MTY dropping some bangers but unfortunately he was dealing with some power outages that kept killing the set, but he pushed on through like a champ. Later we caught a performance from Theophilus London and to wrap it all up was Zeds Dead. Big ups to Heineken and Puma for supporting underground music and keeping the block parties going in the right way and props to Embrace and Teamwork for putting on a really great and smooth event.
