As far as I know it’s been a minute since Groove Armada has released any new electronic music. It’s definitely been a long time since I’ve seen Groove Armada live. Man, what an amazing show these guys put on. One day I might make it to their long running Lovebox festival.
Awesome news, they’re back and they’re giving a huge nod to their old school sound. We predict their new single “Pull Up” featuring Slarta John will be an instant house classic—it’s dirty and funky and just what we love most about them. It’s definitely on our soundtrack this summer.
The new single will be available as a download starting Sunday August 5 via Hypercolour. Apparently DJ Pete Tong has already named “Pull Up” as his Essential New Tune, and it’s received strong support from other tastemaker DJs including Annie Mac.
For those Ibiza bound, Groove Armada are throwing an old school, all day free beach party dubbed “Rockers Revenge” this Friday August 3. The party will take place on the infamous La Plage on Playa D’en Bossa beach, with support from Huxley and Tim Sweeney from Beats in Space.
