Underground dance phenom, Nicole Moudaber, is slated to hit NYC this upcoming weekend for an epic double feature at Provocateur and Pacha. Moudaber has been performing her edgy, percussive house—mixed with a flavor of tough but soulful techno—throughout North America for the past couple of weeks. She’s hit hotspots, such as, Miami, LA, Orlando, Toronto, NYC (Dekalb Market, Brooklyn) and now NYC yet again … going to be crazy.
Moudaber is coming fresh off her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut and just recently released her new EP, “Journey Begins,” in collaboration with Victor Calderone, on the renowned Swedish Drumcode imprint. The “Journey Begins” EP became available worldwide on August 20th.
Acclaimed remixes of hers include versions of Carl Cox’s “Chemistry” (which won an International Dance Music Award for “Best Minimal/Techno Track”) and Sian & Mladen Tomec’s “Front Pocket” (which spent weeks at the top of Beatport’s Techno Chart). Later this year, Moudaber is planning to launch her own label MOOD Records, which will house her future releases, along with top talent from around the world.
