New York Fashion Week brought bold, bondage and brocade on this year’s runways. Herve Leger for BCBG caught a lot of eyes, as this designer went a step further with the leather trend and had fur and leather harnesses to spice up the basic, little dress.
Brocade can no longer be seen on just tablecloths, Asian-inspired pieces and your grandmother’s curtains, this fabric (made lighter to wear for clothing) adds a flair of sophistication. For men, patchwork and plaid continues on with a life of its own, with the color navy replacing the color black. Spring 2013 will be full of color, prints and interesting textures… will you be able to walk the talk?
