Whiiite, also known as Chris White, also known as one of the founders of the historic Control Friday nights at the Avalon graces us with his top 5 tunes he can't live without. Whiiite spends his days organizing the Control events at Avalon and books all your favorite DJs for those epic Friday nights. He also designs all the awesome fliers and artwork for Control. Following up his wildly successful debut EP, "Whiiite Begins," which charted across multiple genres and made Beatport’s Top 30 Releases back in early November, zombie bass producer WHIIITE has called upon his friends to remix his first 5 original tracks. The "Whiiite Begins Remix" EP consists of 5 new takes from Vandalism & Mr. Fluff, Calvertron, Sharooz, Protohype, and ETC!ETC!, as well as an extra free remix from LA producer FYOR, and is out now via Australia’s Vicious Bitch Recordings.
Homogenous with Whiiite Begins, the remix EP takes no prisoners and is unforgiving to those fearful of the heavy bass that WHIIITE has become known for. Encompassing electro, dubstep, trap, big room house music and a few things in between, WHIIITE’s remix EP keeps the vibe of his initial release the same while stylistically changing each track in completely new directions. 1. Justice "Genesis"
A classic for me... Attitude, soul perfect use of that sample.
2. Queen "Dont Stop Me Now"
Just couldnt live without Queen period... and this is one of my favorites.
3. Aphex Twin "Windowlicker"
I think much of the bass music today is strongly influenced by Aphex Twin... This video was killer too!
4. Insert Michael Jackson song of choice here
Any song really... couldnt LIVE without...
5. Prodigy "Breathe"
This band was my entry level drug into electronic music... such a rad opening riff.
