The Northeast’s premier electronic music festival released its much anticipated lineup today and it is eclectic to say the least. Camp Bisco returns to the Indian Lookout Country Club just outside of Albany, New York on July 11-13th for its 12th annual festival.
With so many electronic music festivals booming over the last couple of years it is nice to see that Camp Bisco decided to go with a very diverse lineup that definitely puts it apart from the others. Of course, headlining it are the Disco Biscuits themselves along with festival vets Bassnectar and STS9. Even if you are not a fan of jam bands this lineup is pretty solid. Boys Noize, Wolfgang Gartner, Tommy Trash, Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, and a solid-albeit a bit out of place-booking of one of my favorites Squarepusher fill up the top of the bill quite well for electronic music fans.
If fist pumping is not your thing, the amazing Animal Collective will be there as well as a set from the Northwest duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis which I am sure will be a straight up party. Filling up the rest of the headlining slots are Passion Pit, Lotus, and Umphrey’s Mcgee.
The undercard is pretty stacked as well. Some artists that tickle my fancy are Aeroplane, Com Truise, Congorock, Dan Deacon, El-P, Koan Sound, and Toro Y Moi. Going to school on the east coast I have come into contact with a lot of friends who have gone to Bisco and have nothing but great things to say about it.
