We got a pretty fun piece of news from our friends over at mixmag involving the music identifying app Shazam and Beatport. They have formed a partnership for the benefit of all of those who have ever been to an EDM show and have needed to find out the song they just heard or they might die...you know exactly what I'm talking about. Shazam will be inheriting Beatport's catalogue in addition to the 25 million songs already in the Shazam database. Now there are those out there who dislike this partnership because of the fact that many will be able to obtain knowledge of songs many would rather keep secret. I'm not quite sure what to say to that, other than sooner or later these songs will always surface, and doesn't the saying go along the lines of sharing what's good? Either way, it's happening; The Shazam app is free on every major app store including but not limited to the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store, Verizon Vcast App Store, Blackberry App World, and Windows Phone Marketplace.
