Strictly for the underground set, Germany’s DJ Hell has taken charge of the Kern Vol. 2 mix, which mixes classic techno and house roots with today’s new wave of artists. In conjunction with this, he’s releasing “The Rarities” on vinyl. It is a three song EP that brings his Chicago Style version of 1992’s “Blip” out for the first time, as well NYC ‘90s fixtures Lenny Dee and Ralphie Dee’s (aka Major Problems) “Overdose” and Sub-Culture’s “Dreams” . Carefully selected and packaged, it’s a collector’s piece revealing a glimpse of a time before electronic dance music was known as EDM.
Out on July 15th, via Tresor Records.
