EDM Culture: Outlook Festival, Croatia- Some Of The World's Best Drum & Bass, Dub, Reggae And Hip Hop

The end of August is finally here, and we’re more excited than ever to experience Outlook Festival in Croatia: a collective of some of the world’s best dub, hip hop, drum and bass, and reggae on the pristine Mediterranean coast. We’re memorizing the lineup, making our game plan, and packing our bags for one of Europe’s most unique and laid-back festivals.

Outlook has made a name for itself as the one of the leading bass and roots festivals in the world. Over the past six years it has consciously diverged away from the mainstream EDM path, while still maintaining a wicked party atmosphere. Outlook Festival is one that celebrates genuine down-to-earth music, which definitely resonates with us here on the West Coast. The multi-genre event features some of the biggest names in the world, including: Mos Def, Capleton, Jay Electronica, The Pharcyde, Bonobo (DJ set), Andy C, Rustie, Pharoahe Monch, Joey Bada$$, Goldie, LTJ Bukem , Shy FX and more! Every artist on this year’s Outlook Festival bill creates and plays top-quality music and is dedicated to the underground soundsystem movement.

The festival will be taking place at Fort Punta Cristo in Pula, Croatia. The abandoned fort was built in the mid-eighteen hundreds and was built to keep the port city of Pula safe from invasion. The stone courtyards, dungeon, and waterside port are equipped with massive stages, lighting, and of course sound. During the day parties will rage by the turquoise water at beach bars and boat parties.

Outlook Festival is sure to be an experience unlike any other. We are stoked to be representing Southern California’s EDM culture on this crazy international bass-fueled adventure, and hopefully we’ll see you there!
