EDM Culture: Kaskade Takes To Twitter And Speaks Out UMass Banning EDM Events

Once again, Kaskade has stepped out to make a statement via Twitter, speaking to his 200,000+ followers for a reason. Today, Officials at UMass, Amherst announced that two EDM events have been cancelled, and banned due to the rising concern of 'Molly.' Both Above & Beyond and Pretty Lights were scheduled to appear at the Mullins Center this October.

In a campus-wide email, UMass interim Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Enku Gelaye stated:
"Unfortunately, the factors that led to cancellation of the Sept. 21 concert have not positively shifted. In fact, we have grown even more concerned about ongoing reports of overdoses at such events. The Molly-taking culture at these shows is real and now exceedingly dangerous to the health and safety of concert attendees."
