Hot off the heels of a recently released Kyle Hall's new electronic music remix of Mount Kimbie's "You Took Your Time," today we're happy to share yet a new take on the track, this time courtesy of the UK's Lee Gamble. A completely different vibe of the original, Gamble adds thudding, driving beats laid out over a luscious, deconstructed six minutes, and can be heard now on Pitchfork, who write, "as is Gamble's wont, he takes the somewhat smooth original and hollows it out, adding tons of depth, bloopy synths, and hissing percussion to the mix."
The remix comes off Mount Kimbie's upcoming 12", CSFLY Remixes, out October 29th on Warp with offerings from Kyle Hall and DJ Koze, with an additional Oneman remix featuring Jeremiah Jae available now for download.
The duo have also been busy on an extensive headlining national tour this month with Jonwayne and D33J, with a sold out show in New York and sets at Mutek Mexico, Decibel Festival and the upcoming Mountain Oasis Festival in Asheville. The live show carries an incredible magnetism and refined yet fluid sound, with added live percussion making the show an absolute must-see for listeners of electronic music.
