Spotlight SD Series: Japanese Social House "Bang Bang" is San Diego's Hottest New Venue

In honor of Spotlight on San Diego week, we wanted to highlight a brand new venue for the EDM culture crowd in SD, Bang Bang. The sexy new social parlor is the brainchild of architect Mauricio Couturier and LED co-founder Jonny Shockey. Bang Bang is easily one of the most highly anticipated new venues that San Diego has seen in years--and it sure doesn't disappoint.

The lasciviously-conceptualized venue is downright gorgeous--Japanese lanterns from end-to-end, tables with scripture, and an entry way that is reminiscent of a Tokyo subway station. Libations include an extensive sake list, speciality cocktails and party-sized punch bowls. Bang Bang has elicited the fine-dining services of Executive Chef Jose Ruigomez and Syd Marshal to create a menu that offers Asian street fare as well as impossibly fresh sushi. The club/lounge hybrid also hosts a roster of artists that get our  nod of approval.

Bang Bang has a few hidden gems for the ladies as well that includes a Hello Kitty themed bathroom stall, and an extra large stall that is wallpapered with pictures of part Greek God, part human -- Ryan Gosling. Amen.
