If your goal is to seek and destroy a dance floor this week, the searching is over. With talent streaming in from all over the damn globe, I must say the lineup is looking quite lavish and I did all the lurking for you lovelies.
WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 11
Zebra F%@KING Katz is in the building!!
My current youtube listening and viewing obsession..seriously this gig is tonight and this cat (pun intended)has taken the fashion & hip hop world by storm! Pulling from a multimedia and performance art background, Zebra Katz brings a slo-mo dark delivery to his rhymes, which are set over a minimal, unencumbered beat on his highly acclaimed first single “IMA READ” (Mad Decent/Jeffrrees). “IMA READ” was heralded as the “Official Song of Paris Fashion Week”after Rick Owens personally chose it to score his Fall/Winter Womenswear runway show. The hauntingly sexy video has been featured in the NYTimes’ New Music and Fashion and Style sections, Pitchfork, Vogue, Interview Magazine, and myriad other magazines and blogs.
Zebra Katz is creation of 25 year old New Yorker Ojay Morgan. Inspired by Nina Simone, Andre 3000, Missy Elliot, James Blake, and Lauryn Hill. Morgan has cultivated a signature and unique presence all his own. Having shared the stage with artists from Diplo to The Scissor Sisters and Big Freedia. Word on the street is that his live shows are not to be missed, his memorable SXSW set in Austin was covered by Rolling Stone.

"I have always been fascinated by the power of music, from translating the most intimate moment to commanding the masses, it's a profound connection between us all. It's with respect for that connection that I approach my work every day."
For Bentley, that work includes serving as Music Director of KCRW and host of their signature program Morning Becomes Eclectic, as well as a distinguished career as a music supervisor for film and advertising, and a busy DJ schedule from festivals to loft parties.
In the spirit of giving, They have partnered with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles to help raise awareness to their project HomeWalk. 58,000 people are homeless in Los Angeles County – making our city the homeless capital of the nation. This includes more than 20,000 women and children and 9,000 military veterans who sleep on our streets each night. We can change that.

The eloquent kids of The Anonymous Love state these fun facts about the talent;
“A little more about George...
Hybridization is at the heart of the UK’s resurgent house scene, and one its central figures, London born, Berlin based, George FitzGerald, will bring his inimitable blend of beats to US dancefloors this Fall, with a brand new single ‘Magnetic’ and his first North American headlining tour, taking in nine dates kicking off December 6th.
Stream 'Magnetic' here:
Over the course of the last six years George FitzGerald has channeled disparate elements of techno, dubstep, house and garage into a cohesive and singular sound. His range is evidenced by a release history that encompasses such diverse and heralded underground tastemaking labels as Hotflush, Aus and Hypercolor, Fitzgerald’s own ManMakeMusic, and in 2013, his new home base, indie-powerhouse Domino.
FitzGerald’s most recent release, his debut on Domino, ‘I Can Tell’, broke new ground for the producer; a radiant house anthem, that was praised by everyone from Pitchfork to Mixmag. His forthcoming release ‘Magnetic’ offers further evidence of the maturation of FitzGerald’s sound, and yet also a return to the underground parties where he made his name.”
