Severe Drought Forces Cancellation Of EDM Festival In California

While Californians may be enjoying the late spring like conditions Winter 2014 has brought them, the consequences of the warm, dry weather are already being seen. Mountain High, a local Southern California winter ski resort, is closing early due to near dry conditions, thus forcing the postponement of the Minus Zero Festival.

The festival, scheduled for March 8th and 9th, was to feature performances by Paul Oakenfold, Bixel Boys, Doc Martin, Plastic Love and about 40 other artists from EDM culture.

A publicist for the event, Kim Koury of Spin media writes "The show will go on and a new date is being identified for later this year or early next year."

California, now in it's third year with below average rainfall, is facing the worst drought in decades. May areas of have seen just about thirty percent of their average rainfall for this time of year.
