AFROJACK

Afrojack’s debut album Forget the World may feel long overdue for the Dutch DJ seeing how he’s been in the game for four years now and is already one of the top 10 highest grossing DJs in the world.  Oh… and a Grammy award winner.  And he is one of only two DJs to have their handprints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Accomplishments aside, it’s time to let the debut LP speak for itself.

Afrojack definitely created an eclectic and well-rounded LP with Forget the World from the pop-hits that catapulted him to mainstream success to out-of-the-box collaborations with Sting, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa to name a few and, of course, the Afrojack big beat drops we’ve all grown to love.  Once you press play with the opening track “Ten Feet Tall,” you’ll be taken on an audible journey with everything from vocal party anthems, chill back songs, instrumental tracks and even a power rock song.

Afrojack misses the mark on a couple of tracks, but here are the top 5 tracks you should not miss out on!

Ten Feet Tall (feat. Wrabel)

This is one of the bigger songs on the album with a catchy hook, big drop and excellent vocals from Wrabel (who has two vocal tracks on Forget the World).

Illuminate (feat. Matthew Koma)

Afrojack has said himself that this is one of his favorite tracks on Forget the World and we have to agree.  It has potential to be a very commercially successful track, but sticks true to Afrojack’s signature big explosive sound.

Catch Tomorrow (feat. Sting)

This is by far the best track on the album.  A MUST LISTEN!  Sting’s voice lends emotion, power and edge to the track.  The lyrics of the track draw ties to The Police’s “Roxanne.”  Even gold expires… all you’ve got is your soul!

Keep Our Love Alive (feat. Matthew Koma)

It might be safe to say this is the biggest track on the album.  Great build driven by Matthew Koma’s crystal clear vocals.  Major drop.  Heavy chorus.  For sure to be a contender in the festival circuit this summer season.

Too Wild (feat. Wiz Khalifa & Devin Cruise)

When one sees a track with Wiz Khalifa’s name attached, this is not the expected sound.  With “Too Wild,” Afrojack and Wiz Khalifa transport you to a chill party – sun and sand not included.
