Electro & Progressive House

Summer is quickly approaching, and this week's electro & progressive house chart has some great tracks that will jolt you into the proper mood, inducing a bit of winter-amnesia. We've got a range of jams, some uplifting and some dark and downright dirty. Look out for some great free downloads below as well.

1. "Liberate" Eric Prydz, Pryda Recordings

This track is infectious. An incredible melody with soothing vocals, this is a great tune to get you ready for summer nights. Out now.

2. "Shadow Of The Sun" (Michael Brun Remix) Max Elto

Haitian native Brun comes fresh off Ultra and both weekends at Coachella with a captivating melodic remix of the Max Elto original. Brun does a nice job of layering the vocals onto the end of the drop with a nice bumpy, gitchy synth closing it out. Out now.

3. "Black Magic" Sikdope

I first heard of Sikdope when he released a trap remix of "Insomnia" by Faithless. Now he impressively turns his talents to the electro house sphere, unleashing a dark, earth-shattering drop. Available as a free download via the SoundCloud stream below.

4. "Drop The Guns" Alpharock, Oxygen/Spinnin' Records

Love the vocal drop on this one, commanding you to throw your hands in the air and "drop your guns." The grinding beat delivers a proverbial gun show of EDM. Out June 2nd.

5. "Hindsight" Audien, Anjunabeats

Another touching tune by the likes of Audien. A vibrant, pitch-peaking melody. Out now.

6. "Summer" (Dave Silcox Remix) Calvin Harris

Silcox returns with a banging rendition of Calvin Harris' new club anthem. Let's hope that summer bursts onto the scene with as much energy as this remix, obliterating all memories of winter. Available as a free download via the SoundCloud stream below.

7. "Fire In Our Hearts" Swanky Tunes feat. C. Todd Nielsen, Revealed Recordings

Vocals fuel the exciting buildup to the Russian production duo's new high-energy big roomer. Marching band-style drums set us up nicely for the fiery drop. Out May 12th.

8. "Wasted" Tiësto ft. Matthew Koma, Musical Freedom

I cheated on this one. It's more electro-pop than house music, but I have to recognize Tiesto's experimentation with different sounds and tempos. Tiesto has brilliantly begun to spread the EDM gospel into the Top 40 sphere. This is going to follow "Red Lights" infiltrating mainstream radio stations and DJs everywhere. Out now.

9. "War Paint" Charlie Darker, Kindergarten Records

Here's your second dose of dark and heavy electro for the week. Glitchy and unforgiving on the dance floor. Out May 13th.

10. "Bounce Generation" TJR & VINAI, Spinnin' Records

TJR and VINAI team up to keep the Melbourne bounce alive. It's electric. Out now.
