Expect More Daft Punk In 2015 With New Documentary

This just in! It looks like there is going be a Daft Punk documentary coming up next year- produced by the BBC--

Variety broke the news today:

Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre and co-written by co-written by Marina Rozenman, the documentary will chronicle the rise and artistic world of the two award-winning DJ’s, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, who formed Daft Punk in the 90′s and became the leading figures of the French Touch scene.

Throughout their 20-year career, the duo dynamized the European techno house scene and sold more than twelve million albums worldwide, as well as won six Grammy Awards.

Jean-Louis Blot, head of BBC Worldwide Productions France is producing the doc with Patrice Gellé.

“We are proud to announce our first commission with Canal Plus Group on such an original and creative film,” said Jean Louis Blot, topper of BBC Worldwide Productions France. “BBC Worldwide France stands as a major French producer of documentaries with stunning production values and universal appeal.”

Gellé, executive producer of BBC Worldwide Productions France’s documentary division, said the doc was the “first independent movie on the iconic group Daft Punk.”
