New Electronic Music- Top 10 Electro/Progressive House Tracks- 6/20/14

EDC Vegas wowed hundreds of thousands of fans this weekend with tons of new electronic music. It's a sign that summer is here and now in full effect. This week we have hot new music, some played at EDC and some new, that will keep your summer party going strong.

View Previous Chart

1. "Brazil" JETFIRE & Happy Enemies, Armada Music

Did you think W&W would be the only one to create a World Cup big room banger? Newcomers to this chart JETFIRE & Happy Enemies bring my favorite Brazil-inspired drop to date. Gets me all fired up for USA vs. Germany! Let's go! Out now.

2. "#SELFIE" (Botnek Remix) The Chainsmokers, Dim Mak Records & Republic Records

Botnek's speciality seems to be to take EDM megahits, totally shred them and recreate them in his own nasty-sick image. Selfie haters should enjoy the vocal drops that say "Fuck no!" after the Selfie girl talks about taking another one. Out now!

3. "Chills" (Manse Remix) Down With Webster, Trice Records -

Love the spirited vocals on this track. Manse is now on my radar thanks to his beautiful melodies with a grooving edge. Out now.

4. "Shaolin" Mightyfools, TBD

Mightyfools once again earns a spot on this chart for producing awesome, unique-sounding tracks. I can imagine a packed crowd at Webster Hall shuffling to this grinder very soon. Release date TBD.

5. "Drum It" Apster & Ariyan, Wall Recordings

Apster is back. Although this track starts with a typical progressive house melody, the drop unleashes a minimal, percussion-heavy beat that is sure to send summer festival crowds into a frenzy. Out July 14th.

6. "C.U.B.A" Calvin Harris, TBD

A very impressive follow up to "Summer." Calvin brings us a stand-out track marked by a Spanish-style acoustic guitar-driven beat. Out soon.

7. "Flash" Green Velvet (Nicky Romero vs. Jayden Parx Remix)

This is the most experimental track of the week. It's a much lighter, sax-driven big room remix of Green Lantern original. As Jayden Parx wrote on the SoundCloud description "Wanted to drop something different then just big room! What I Like to call 'Tech Room.'" Available as a free download via the SoundCloud stream below.

8. "Mutant" Gino G

A massive room track with hard hits in rapid succession. Gino G is new to my EDM vocabulary but the insane drop cements his name as one to watch. Available as a free download via the SoundCloud stream below.

9. "Rampage" Bassjackers & Kenneth G, Revealed Recordings

Bassjackers and Kenneth G fuse their signature sounds to bring us this monster. Really digging the driving synth line after the drop. Out June 30th.

10. "Maverick" J3n5on, Spinnin' Records

I really like the light-hearted feel of this song's melody in the buildup. The drop is deep, glitchy and unique. Out July 7th.
