Taylor Barnes here again, back with some new summertime jams for you. This week I focused in on the top 10 future R&B songs, however there are tunes from other related genres as well. I've been really digging this style lately, and it's perfect for those warm, summertime party vibes. Enjoy this carefully curated chart by yours truly.
1. Daze (Slumberjack Remix), Trip Pony
Australian duo Slumberjack came correct with this remix. It sounds sort of like a hybrid between What So Not and Cashmere Cat.
2. Days With You (Pomo Remix), Snakehips
This track earned a #2 spot as one of the top 10 future R&B songs thanks to that massive 80's synth and the staccato arpeggiated melody in the background.
3. Sir Sliink, Mr. Carmack
As a sort of pre-celebratory gift in honor of his own birthday next week, Mr. Carmack decided to give fans his remix of DJ Sliink's "Put Ya Back In It". Stream only, but it's so dope that I'm chill with that.
4. No Excuses (Young Gud Remix), Jacques Greene
Something about the melancholy melody of this track just makes it stick in your head on repeat. Chill vibes on this one for sure.
5. Zygote, xxyyxx
Xxyyxx tries his hand at future bass and jersey club on "Zygote", and his attempt was extremely successful. I love what he does with the vocal sample here.
6. Walk This Way (Lido Remix), M0
Probably the most prolific producer around, Lido kills it on yet another remix. I don't know if theres even a genre that I can classify this as, it blends breakbeat, future bass, and club music seamlessly into one cohesive package.
7. Moshpit (jelacee Remix), Flosstradamus
Jelacee went straight Carmack on this "Moshpit" remix.
8. Me & Wifey (GUNDAM Edit), Flukes X Cassie
Just when I thought I couldn't take any more of these Cassie remixes, Gundam proved me wrong by releasing this chilled out grime edit.
9. Lost (Stwo Remix), Lido
Stwo coming through with a syrupy smooth remix of Lido's "Lost".
10. Give Me Tonight, Dave Luxe
Perfect blend of future R&B and jersey club right here. Starts out future R&B, progresses into a jersey club breakdown, and then back into a future R&B with a soaring, uplifting lead melody.
