Public service announcement from this week’s Top Nu-Disco & Indie Dance chart… If you have not been resting this week, well you better rest up ASAP for the weekend, my best advice to you is, of course, the disco nap. It’s refreshing, it’s necessary after day partying that turns into night partying. It is the responsible thing to do to ensure positive attitudes, fun times, and making sure all disco babes look beautiful. A-Trak has always been an outspoken supporter of the disco nap school of thought, and so let this unseasonally appropriate Valentine’s card exemplify his support, and feel free to hand it out at any club or party you find yourself between now and Sunday evening.

1. “You Were Mine” Figgy, Cut and Dry
This is my favorite type of nu-disco too. It’s the sort of song that wraps around it, and starts to clap your hands. It’s the perfect tune for late night grooves, it just feels like the essence of cool. Move, sway, get down, just be yourself with this baby!

2. “If You Say So” Escort, Escort Records
Disco, disco, disco! This is classic disco here people! The positive sensations, the sultry vocal, there ain’t nothing about a bad time in this song. This should be the anthem of any disco babe!

3. “Bel-Air” Boogie Vice, Erase
Defending champ on top of the Beatport Indie Dance & Nu-Disco chart, this fun little number plays around with that iconic sitcom song.

4. “Gun (Zhu Cover)” Chvrches
The man of mystery who keeps calm in the shadows, and striking ever so strongly with his deep creations has struck again! This time covering a Chvrches tune! Don’t try to figure Zhu out, he’s got you figured out already.

5. “Dinosaurs In Space” Clarian, Play It, Say It
Going to switch it up a bit, we’ve got a techno roller that’s got some disco in its step. Ain’t no reason why disco and techno can’t get along, so support this song by Clarian on Seth Troxler’s floor-centric label launched in April.

6. “Dr. Zapp” Giom feat. Apple Rochez, LouLou Records
Oh the deep beeps and boops on this one are great, guaranteed fun. This song is perfect to tie any disco set together. Get ready to sweat!

7. “Say You Love Me (Gorgon City Remix)” Jessie Ware
All of these Brits coming together are going to crush with their respective albums, and you better love the Gorgon vibes Gorgon City reworked into the lovely Jessie Ware’s choon.

8. “You’re the One For Me (Slinger Remix)” Great Good Fine Ok
When I think of a vacation for friends, I think these positive thoughts of beautiful weather, laughter and adventure. There is a burgeoning hope that bursts into my thoughts of memories soon to be made, and I think this remix really captures all of that, no easy task.

9.”Heaven (Behling & Simpson rmx)” Kerri Chandler ft. Christopher McCray
Disco warehouse parties are good for the health, 9 out of 10 other doctors agree. What about the other doctor you say? He’s not fun, you wouldn’t want him to agree with you anyways. This song is perfect for that disco afterhours, those late night groove sessions where the fun just doesn’t want to stop.

10 "Heartbreak in Motion (Feat. Kesse Boykins III)" Anna Lunoe, Ultra
And finally to one of my favorite producers around, a Ms. Anna Lunoe! Absolutely slaying it with this latest tune! Keep getting it girl, you're on fire burning so bright!

11. “Fading” Motions, OfUnSoundMind
The distant echo, the slight distortion, this song has quite the artistry about it. It weaves and glides, revolves all around. It’s a mystical tour that you want to be on.

Do that playlist thing you do so well, if you’re into it of course…
