Chart: Best Electro & Progressive House Music 2014- Week 43

As Halloween approaches, we have a fresh new batch of the best electro & progressive house music of 2014- Week 43. At the number one spot is one of the most talented producers in the biz, Dyro, who continues to evolve his sound. Tommy Trash follows closely behind, with a masterful melodic powerhouse on Protocol Recordings, and Dada Life shows that they're still a force to be reckoned with coming in at #3 with a hard new tune.

1. "Against All Odds" Dyro feat. Dynamite MC, WOLV Records

Dyro is one of the rare gems on the big room scene whose sound continues to evolve. His tracks on his new label WOLV are distinct compared to his releases on Revealed, and those are unique from his early remixes and collaborations. The synths on "Against All Odds" sound like Oliver Heldens-style deep house riffs kicked into warp speed through a black hole. Out October 27th.

2. "HEX" Tommy Trash & Wax Motif, Protocol Recordings

Tommy brings his signature sounds to bear on a compelling new original collab with Wax Motif. An epic progressive house melody pulses throughout the buildup and drop, along with kids' chorus vocal drops. Out now.

3. "Freaks Have More Fun" Dada Life, So Much Dada

Dada Life brings some of their signature elements to the table, including edgy vocals, to create a gritty electro drop in this hot new release. Out November 3rd.

4. "Dangerous" (David Guetta Banging Remix) David Guetta feat. Sam Martin, What A Music

As the name hints, this is a hard-edged banging remix of Guetta's own new release with Sam Martin. Guetta sure isn't spacing out on the production scene. Out now.

5. "Surrender" (Tritonal Remix) Cash Cash, Big Beat Records

Austin, Texas duo Tritonal continue their dominance of the uplifting progressive house sound, this time creating a compelling melodic drop around the moving lyrics of the Cash Cash original. Out now.

6. "Thanatos" Amersy, Oxygen Recordings

Amersy easily establishes himself as a name to watch in the progressive house scene. Busting onto the scene via Oxygen, a new division of Spinnin' Recods, Amersy weaves an ominous buildup and a massive drop that is sure to warm up crowds for a massive round of Halloween festivals. Out now.

7. "Reptile" Jewelz & Sparks, Dim Mak

Jewelz and Sparks make a massive comeback with a release on hard electro label Dim Mak. Ominous horn synths introduce you to a bleepy buildup and a drop vibrating with squeaky electro riffs. Out now.

8. "Made For This" Sick Individuals, Revealed Recordings

I have to give Sick Individuals props for continuing to develop their sound on Revealed. The first drop is hard, followed by an uplifting vocal buildup that unleashes a melodic progressive house beat. Out October 27th.

9. "We Control The Sound" W&W & Headhunterz, Mainstage Music

Is hardstyle the new trend for W&W? After having morphed from trance to progressive house, mainstagers W&W team up with Headhunterz for their second earth shattering hardstyle original. Out October 24th.

10. "Nemesis" Holl & Rush, Robin Riccio, Protocol Recordings

Holl and Rush return to our chart this week with another epic banger. Teaming up with Robin Riccio, the producing powerhouse brings us a hard-edged late night beat. Out now.
