One of the last cities inhabited and built by the Mayans; Tulum is still one of the best-preserved coastal Mayan sites. The Mayan ruins of Tulum, only an hour from Playa del Carmen, undoubtedly have one of the most stunning views of the past or present.

Taking place January 9-18, 2015 against the luscious Playa Del Carmen backdrop, get ready for 10 days of top tier DJs for the annual BPM Festival! Since its inception 8 years ago, BPM has considerably increased in size and roster of global talent, quickly establishing itself as an essential stop on the festival circuit for all underground dance music aficionados and as an essential winter holiday get away. Festie goers bask in the beauty of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula in an idyllic beach setting – and party around-the-clock.

With a fiesta of such mass proportions, attendees must make sure their style is on point for the occasion. With steaming hot daytime parties and cooler night time locations, Magnetic teamed up with a team of style experts to brainstorm some sharp BPM looks. Bryce Darlington Marck, an L.A based photographer captured the essence of the festival trends, with the hand of imaginative stylists Lisette Solis AKA “The Gloved Artist” and Jackie Juniper. Although all of the designers pieces pictured were all based in Los Angeles, they are perfect for turning heads while maintaining comfort at the South of the border babe fest.

Although I myself will be on the front line reporting the BPM magic and mayhem, to create a vibe for the shoot that would get us Tulum inspired without needing our passports, L.A native DJ Sergio V provided a spicy soundtrack for us to groove to that’s available for readers to download. Sergio has been gracing the decks since the early 90's. Early influences from Funk and Disco, Sergio quickly found a home with House music during the classic house era and early techno. Sergio's current sound is a delicate blend of Deep Tech House and Cosmic Disco with a hint of Acid Rock. His current residencies include: Crimson Society and The Basement LA. He is also resident at the MIA gallery in downtown LA and the Light Tribe in Long Beach.

From the jungles to the beachfront dance parties, we’ve got you covered in a fusion of different eclectic inspirations. Crack an ice cold cerveza and prepare yourself for some caliente fashion.
