Zhu – Faded (Cowp Remix)

Ever the mystery, even more so a powerhouse, Zhu conquered 2014. Now though, a bold producer takes it upon himself to usurp Zhu with a bold remix of Zhu’s renowned single “Faded.” Cowp has a knack for making songs his own and the playful piano addition along with the elevation of the horns really makes Cowp’s talent undeniable. The various addition of instruments sets this remix apart from all the rest.

Wax Motif – Since I Left You

Songs forged in the midst of turmoil yield some of the best music you will ever hear. Channelling the negative and transmuting it into positive is a beautiful talent, and Wax Motif demonstrates his prowess in changing darkness to light in this latest selection ‘Since I Left You’. There is a lot of heart in this song, it’s not just a tune to dance out to, but there is depth that will inspire a bit of deep thought and meditation. Press play on the song, and then scroll down and see what Wax Motif had to say about this special tune.

Holly Drummond – Fade (Deep Asleep Remix)

Deep Asleep is a prolific and ethereal duo that do a tremendous job of applying the dreamy to their compositions. In the remix of ‘Fade’ they add a very deep romantic feeling, almost The XX-esque if you ask me. They picked the right singer to rework, and overall Deep Asleep made a lot of great choices in this remix. Naturally, a great choice you could make right now is to listen to this song.

Banks – Beggin for Thread (Gryffin & Hotel Garuda Remix)

We have something special on our hands here. Banks was a dominant force to be reckoned with last year, and now Gryffin & Hotel take that powerful voice into interesting territory with elements of the deep house depths, and a touch of the house music that is thriving in the tropics. All the emotion is maintained from the original, then plenty more emotions are added with the tasteful touches by the collaborating duo. A great song to sit back and think to, so take a moment, and let this trifecta of talent massage that mind, and maybe, just maybe take you to some place beautiful.

Autolaser – 88

Going backwards sometimes is the best way to go forwards, and so Autolaser draws on video game nostalgia to whip up a fine piece of future bass. This song is a beast. It is full of energy and moving in a million different directions at once, and it just doesn’t stop levelling up all the way through. It’s a bass music collage and it is clearly imbued with the fun personality of its creator Autolaser.

Alec Maire – Monday

Tanner Ross ft. 2 Chainz – Tity Boi Beats

Tanner Ross takes 2 Chainz on a fun little jaunt in an intriguingly eccentric direction. The beat is fun, flavorful and definitive of Tanner Ross’ top notch style. He is a self proclaimed and critically confirmed audio wizard, and when you press play, Tanner’s magic grabs you. It logically follows then that this the song to grab the club’s attention. It is danceable with a rhythm, and the 2 Chainz flow along with the chorus are damn fine hip hop with a little bit of soul behind it.

Notize – Meadow Run

Round and round, revolving, light shining, this is the song that plays in the disco ball’s head. So cool and it knows it, but still down to party. Notize, well done, mission accomplished, you did it, I’m a fan for life. The italo-disco synths hit hard, and add quite the character, an ominous no nonsense villain that is prowling the streets at night. This selection is ideal for any night drive, so act accordingly and cruise the city feeling cooler than ever thanks to Notize. -
