The wait is over! Montréal's newest electronic music event, AIM Festival (Art Innovation Movement), has lifted the curtain on the hype that's built up over the last few months. After much speculation, the 3-day event has revealed the first phase of the line-up, and it's quite tasty indeed!

Montréal son Tiga tops the billing alongside heavy hitters like house legend/madtech chief Kerri Chandler, NYC duo The Martinez Brothers, the enigmatic Jamie XX, Chaim, Pleasurekraft, Edu Imbernon and much more! (Full lineup below.)

Based at Carillon Park in St-André-d’Argenteuil, the festival is situated in an incredibly historic location for Quebec. In 1660, the area witnessed a monumental battle between the French and the Iroquois in which the French forces of Adam Dollard des Ormeaux were massacred.

The June festival will run the weekend of the 26th, profiting from its sufficient distance from the city. It is the only festival in Canada authorized to provide non-stop music for more than 32 hours outdoors (starting Saturday AM until Sunday PM). Camping facilities will be available of course.

With 50 artists in total taking to the very first edition of AIM Festival, it's underground bonaza is sure to attract many of the Montréalers in search of a more intricate local festival experience this summer. We await eagerly more additions to the bill!
