This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Wicked Paradise launch party at The Standard in Downtown LA. Normally these rooftop parties are accompanied by the pool, but that area has been closed for a few months due to renovations. Regardless, the lack of water wasn't a hinderance on the party at all. The music was on point and the crowd was perfect, so this event was a perfect way to ease into the craziness that the Standard rooftop has to offer in the summer.
This weekend's event was hosted by L'Affaire Musicale and Ouija Entertainment, the masterminds behind the Wednesday and Thursday night events at Sound Nightclub, Skybar parties at the Mondrian and more. We caught LA locals Durante and Them Jeans, as well as Ghosts of Venice, Funk Leblanc and Ghost Beach. The day was full of disco vibes and we were really digging the house music with Downtown LA as the backdrop.
For those of you who couldn't make it out to the launch party, you can still get tickets for the second Wicked Paradise event in June. The party will be held at Skybar at the Mondrian on Sunday, June 14th - grab your tickets here. If this past weekend is any indication of how the following party turn out, we trust it will be amazing.
