Feed Me bio

Englishman Jonathan Gooch, known by his stage names Feed Me and Spor, is a drum and bass, dubstep, and electro house producer and DJ. Gooch obtained the name Spor from one of the first set of samples he collected, entitled Spore Tactics, and a favorite piece of artwork by a friend, Karl Kwasny. He soon dropped the "e" from the word to balance the arrangement of letters when displayed in a graffiti style. After a school friend introduced Jon to drum and bass, he began experimenting with software to create his own music. Spor attracted the attention of Renegade Hardware's label manager at the time, Chris Renegade, and secured a deal with the label. Much of Jon's work was released by this label, and soon he began DJing sets. He has also released work under the name Final Reckoning with Codex, as well as under the name Unicron. After a successful partnership with Renegade Hardware and Barcode Recordings, and releases with Teebee's Subtitles Recordings, in 2006, Spor and long-term friend Chris Renegade launched Lifted Music and signed music from producers such as Apex, Evol Intent and Ewun & Phace. In 2010, Spor released his second double EP, Conquerors and Commoners on the Lifted Music label. The album was well received by drum and bass fans, with two of the tracks from the album ("Halogen" and "Kingdom") being played on Andy C's Nightlife 5 mix CD. Spor has since then been playing his music at clubs across the world under the Lifted Music guise. Gooch also has an electro house, and dubstep project: "Feed Me." The first release by Feed Me was “Mordez Moi,” on Noisia’s Division label, the second was ‘The Spell / Raw Chicken’ released on Mau5trap. After completing a stack of remixes for the likes of Gorillaz, Chase & Status and Chris Lake, Feed Me released his much anticipated ‘Feed Me’s Big Adventure EP’ (also on Mau5trap). His latest Death by Robot EP was released on Beatport in January 2013 and features the songs “Death By Robot,” “Dial-Up Days,” and “Gravel.”
