Innovation-driven Montréál outfit La Bacchanale are one of the leading lights in the Canadian underground House & Techno community. The Paris-born promoters strive to create more than just a spectacle. They excel in the creation of an experience, which stimulates all the senses. They create occasions to inspire the mind and the body, bringing world renowned artists like Jeff Mills, Ben Klock and Recondite to intriguing new venues and immersing attendees and artists alike into a world of their own.
Building on recent successes, La Bacchanale have just announced their debut festival and it's a proper dinger. The 1st edition, set this September, is titled 'Ancient Future' and it will see a collection of veteran House and Techno artists go head to head with some of the most exciting new talent on the scene right now. On one side, Montréal will welcome legends like Octave One Lil Louis, acid house-creator DJ Pierre (as Phuture with DJ Spank) and Cadenza's Thomas Melchior, while on the other, producers like Pheek, Omar S and Extrawelt will represent the new school.
With such a high calibre of artist on show, the festival makes a play for the finest new underground venture on offer this September and given their track record to date (check out their jam with Rødhåd below).
What's more, La Bacchanale will also provide a playground to a collection of the most talented locals Montréal has to offer. Lost Heroes is back leading the line after an impressive display last month at AIM Festival, while he joined by the 8day's Groj and Van Did along with Claire and Massyl & Vadim Yershov. The festival will take place in Montréal's Old Port from the 18th to the 20th of September, 2015 with introduction events from the 11th of September.
