These sunglasses, designed by Hungarian artist Bence Agoston, intend to emulate LSD hallucinations. According to the artist, their "imaginative ideal situation is during a travel, when people listen to music, just looking out the window and watching the ever-changing sight, in a perfect harmony with the music".
Agoston achieved this visual trickery with six special lenses that use Moiré patterns to create illusions. These lenses can be layered, and rotated around their center points, to give different patterns and combinations. The patterns are transparent but contain color filters which contort the user's vision, causing the LSD-like visuals.
Only one pair currently exists, but Agoston is considering a production run. Check out more pictures as well as Agoston's own words on the project at Behance.
We have one major question, though: what do you see if you're already on LSD when you put on these sunglasses? (answer: LSD-ception)
