Top 10 House Tracks of the Week - 7.22.15

The long-awaited final cut of Kydus' controversial "Jupiter Rising" is finally here and it is my top track of the week! Other heavy-hitters in this week's top ten house music chart include Green Velvet, Hot Since 82, Lee Van Dowski, & Technasia.

1. “Jupiter Rising” Kydus & Yousef feat The Angel, Circus Recordings

The first incarnation of Kydus' "Jupiter Rising" was deservingly given Essential New Tune honors by the radio idol himself, Pete Tong. However, the tune then sort of disappeared from it's appearance on the Transatlantic EP because it was then found to contain a heavy sample of an old Paul Van Dyk tune. Through a long battle over the rights, Kydus decided to re-create the tune in the studio with label-head Yousef and vocalist, The Angel. The results are in and the final cut of "Jupiter Rising" is indeed still a balearic beauty.

2. “Lost In A Dream (Lee Van Dowski Remix)” Eagles & Butterflies, Spread Your Wings

English born, Ibiza based producer Eagles & Butterflies is working his way towards becoming the next underground star as he is building quite the discography with past tunes like "LOVE" on Noir Music & "The Story That Never Ends" on Innervisions. Along with many more special releases on his own label, Spread Your Wings. Plus, he only seems to get better & better with each single he produces and his latest, "Lost In A Dream" is a prime example of this. The original version by him is melodically brilliant and it lays the groundwork for the other remixes included on this package especially the Lee Van Dowski remix as included here on this week's top ten chart.

3. “This Is The End (Audio Junkies Juno Mix)” Audiowhores, Lapsus Music

For the second week in a row, the Lapsus Music imprint makes an appearance in the top ten chart and this week the tune comes from the Audio Junkies' arp-heavy remix of "This Is The End" by Audiowhores.

4. “Loving You (Moon Boots Remix)” Lane 8 Ft. Lulu James, Anjunadeep

French express favorite Moon Boots puts his dazzling touch on Lane 8's latest, "Loving You".

5. “Need U” Mezzo, Simma Red

Simma Black's head honcho, Low Steppa hammered this one back in February on Shadow Child's Rinse FM show and I've been hunting for it ever since. Well, the wait is over for me and now I get to share with all my fellow house-heads. Crank this one up!

6. “Endless Games (Patrice Baumel Mix)” Blond:ish, Kompakt

Dutch phenom Patrice Baumel gives Blond:ish' "Endless Games" a phenomenal touch up.

7. “Kill For Love” Clarian, Anjunadeep

The Anjunadeep camp will stop at nothing to supply an endless amount of melodic house music and this week's release by the Canadian wizard himself, Clarian is of course no exception.

8. “Heptachord” Avidus, Empore Music

The brand new imprint out of Northern Germany, Empore Music sees their first issue by a relatively unknown duo called Avidus.

9. “Play The Room” Hot Since 82, Saved Records

Hot Since 82's latest dancefloor beast goes by the name of "Play The Room" and it's out now on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records imprint.

10. “Suga” Technasia & Green Velvet, Toolroom

House music hit-maker, Technasia & dance music royalty, Green Velvet team up for a crowd favorite simply entitled "Suga".
