Top 10 House Tracks Of The Week - 7.30.15

No shortage of heavy-hitters in this week's top ten house music chart as it's packed to the brim with stars such as Groove Armada, Catz 'n Dogz, Rick Wade, & of course the number one anthem of the week by my favorite Italian producer Riva Starr!

1. “The Loft” Riva Starr feat. Dajae, Cajual Records

I have to admit that I slept on this one at first but after hearing it thrown down in a set, I've been chanting Dajae's spoken word over and over in my head every single day since the incident. Riva Starr's "The Loft" is quite possibly the most infectious house tune of the year!

2. “Evil Eyes (Catz 'n Dogz Remix)” Roisin Murphy, Play It Again Sam

Roisin Murphy has just unleashed a double remix package of her newest single from her latest album and on the this package is a mighty fine re-work by Poland's top exports at the moment, Catz 'n Dogz!

3. “House Invader (Groove Armada Terrace Mix)” Robert James, VIVa MUSiC

Electronica heroes Groove Armada have arguably stayed more relevant than any legacy act in electronic music over the past ten years or so. They helped usher in the big beat of the late 90s & the early 00s but more recently they've taken on a more underground sound which has won them the respect of house-heads all over the world, including yours truly.

4. “Taddler” Tuff City Kids, Gruuv

Audiojack's revered imprint Gruuv is currently celebrating five years in the biz with a four part EP series and on the third edition is this well-crafted, 90s inspired electronic jewel by Tuff City Kids, aka Gerd Janson & Phillip Lauer.

5. “Time Flies (Tiger Stripes Remix)” Adam Beyer, Truesoul

Not only is Adam Beyer's Drumcode imprint ruling techno at the moment but his house-leaning label Truesoul is causing quite a stir in house circles as well.

6. “Fragata” BLANCAh, Steyoyoke Recordings

Over the past few years, many labels & artist collectives alike have been pursuing more of a futuristic sound. However, there a few camps that have gone a few steps ahead of all the rest such as Tale Of Us, Life and Death, Innervisions, & as demonstrated here in my top ten chart Steyoyoke Recordings out of Berlin.

7. “Strong Arm” Rick Wade, RYMD

Deep house don, Rick Wade can produce a "REAL" deep house track better than almost anyone on the planet! His latest outing entitled "Strong Arm" is a vinyl only cut which is available now through most vinyl retailers.

8. “Better For My Brain" Pele & Shawnecy, Snatch! Records

Pele & Shawnecy's "Better For My Brain" is an ultra-funky dance number that is about to sneak up on Ibiza dance-floors if it hasn't done so already!

9. “Beautiful World (Creative Swing Alliance Remix)" Rick Wade, UNKNOWN season

The French duo known as Creative Swing Alliance step up for remixing duties on Rick Wade's melancholic gem, "Beautiful World".

10. “The Hallway" Camea, BPitch Control

"The Hallway" by Seattle-born, Berlin-based producer Camea is a mind-bending excursion into dance music which celebrates the dance-floor as much as it does the art.
