Top 10 House Tracks of the Week – 8.4.15

Welcome to another week where I sort through about 500 hundred tunes in order to pick out the ten best new tunes in house music land. These ten tracks are a bit more bangin' and upfront than the prior week so don't expect anything too deep or psychedelic. All killer and no filler is the name of the game when we hit mid-summer in the electronic music world. See you on the dance-floor!

1. “Washed Up” Krankbrother, Krankbrother

The two brothers from London known as Krankbrother return to their own imprint with an outstanding two-tracker featuring this floor-filling beast of a tune entitled, "Washed Up".

2. “Brrr” Tiger Stripes, Truesoul

Tiger Stripes' insanely weird "Brrr" is a tune that I admit completely annoyed me at first but now I absolutely lose it every single time I hear it played out! This tune is going to gain strength at an exponential rate and I predict it to be absolutely massive by the end of the Summer.

3. “Bell Trax” Light Year, Exploited

The Exploited camp take a few steps away from their usual funky & eclectic sound with Light Year as he demonstrates his wizardry with the arpeggio on "Bell Trax".

4. “Squeezer” Dusky, 17 Steps

UK duo Dusky return to their own imprint with a 4-track EP that is finely stacked from top to bottom with equally brilliant tunes all amazing in their own way. Featured here on the top ten house music chart though is the lead track entitled "Squeezer" which is a euphoric yet bass-heavy dance tune.

5. “Constellations” CamelPhat, Spinnin' Deep

Camelphat's "Constellations" was premiered by Pete Tong way far back about fourth months ago but we finally all now have a chance to grab our own copy of this exclusively on Beatport.

6. “Crazy (Jamie Jones Remix)” Art Department, No.19 Music

Paradise & Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones injects his signature lead bass-line & wonky melodies into Art Department's 2014 single "Crazy".

7. “Hip Shots (Philip Bader Warehouse Mix)” Jaymo & Andy George X Sidney Charles, Moda Black

Moda Black bosses Jaymo & Andy George collaborated with house heavy-hitter Sidney Charles on "Hip Shots" a few months ago and now the tune gets a very punchy re-rub from current underground house heavyweight, Philip Bader!

8. “Cosmic Vibes” Kry Wolf, Food Music

Yet another slamming tune from yet another UK duo on the chart this week from Kry Wolf.

9. “El Baile Aleman (Patrick Topping Remix)” Coyu & Edu Imbernon, Suara

The tune that helped the launch the careers of both Coyu & Edu Imbernon back in 2009 gets a quirky update from dance music's rising star from Newcastle, Patrick Topping!

10. “Forever” Sidney Charles & Sante, Hot Creations

Do Not Sleep residents, Sidney Charles & Sante team up for a mimimal acid-tech affair called "Forever" on Hot Creations!
