Burning Man

In a recent promo video uploaded to Youtube, Quiznos aims a parody at Burning Man by combining the new movie Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials with the iconic festival in a comedic fashion. Burning Man does not take kindly to outside organizations trying to profit from the festival's ethos and they are currently exploring what legal action they can take.

Burning Man spokesperson says the video may be theft of the festival's intellectual property. "We are pretty proactive about protecting our 10 principles, one of which is decommodification," Graham said. "We get a quite a number of requests each year from companies wanting to gift participants with their product or to capture imagery or video of their products at the event, and we turn them all down."

Quizons, the sandwich shop chain, did not contact Burning Man prior to the production or the release of the video.

"We'll be coordinating with our legal team to see what action we can take," Graham said.
