For their Fall/Winter 2015 collections, brothers and Akomplice co-founders Mike and Patrick Liberty brought it back to where it all began—their hometown of Paonia, Colorado. On a recent return visit, the two crossed paths with hometown cohort and acclaimed photographer, Jessica Lehrman. Together they decided that the serene, environmentally sustainable, and progressive setting of Paonia was the perfect stage on which to display their Fall/Winter 2015 Collection. With locals as models and set in the town’s streets, farms, mountains, and hemp fields, this look book showcases the brand’s connection to nature, sustainability, simplicity and community, all values that Paonia and it’s residents epitomize. These small-town ideals are reflected in the way Mike and Patrick approach creating each one of their garments, which are made to stand the test of time.

For the current season, Mike and Patrick chose to shoot the Akomplice and VSOP collections together. Together, the louder more in-your-face Akomplice line coupled with the more minimalist and mature VSOP line represent the personality of Paonia, agrarian activism. The collections complement each other and together they comprise a well-rounded wardrobe. Experienced together, the lines span the gamut and push the envelope in terms of fit and material selection. From fishtail jackets, to an array of button downs, staple tees, hoodies, crews and even a hockey jersey, this season’s offering marks one of the most complete Akomplice & VSOP collections to date. The environmentally conscious setting of Paonia, Colorado is even more appropriate in light of VSOP's announcement that in Spring 2016 the majority of their collection will be fair trade and made using organic cotton, recycled materials, and eco friendly dyes. This marks a monumental step forward for the brand and the apparel industry.

Look for part 1 of the collection to drop Thursday, October 29th at 2:09pm EST on the Akomplice webstore and keep it locked to the brand’s Twitter and Instagram for announcements on additional collection drops.
