Another timeless Frankie Knuckles gem from his project Director's Cut with fellow producer Eric Kupper and featuring vocals by the great Jamie Principle

Frankie Knuckles passed away in April of last year, but his music has immortalized the iconic producer. Tracks like 'The Whistle Song', 'Only The Strong Survive' and 'Rain Falls' helped grow and evolve an underground culture from the ground up. He was able to expand a scene that gave people freedom to be whoever they wanted to be and dance music owes much of it's popularity due to his innovations.

It's amazing to see new Frankie Knuckles tracks pop up that have yet to have a vinyl release. The track 'Boyz!' will finally see the light of day due to a collaborative vinyl via Def Mix Music featuring remixes by Farley & Heller and David Morales with the Director's Cut master also included in the pressing. Vocals on the track are provided by Jamie Principle, who also collaborated with Knuckles on timeless classics like ‘Your Love’ and ‘Baby Wants To Ride’. Listen to the tracks below and read how those involved with the release express their admiration for the late producer's work.

Boyz! is due to be released via Def Mix Music/SoSure Music on November 29th. All proceeds generated from sales of the vinyl release will be split between The Frankie Knuckles Foundation and The Frankie Knuckles Fund (Elton John Aids Foundation).

"The first time I heard this song, it truly made me smile. I know it made Frankie smile as well - and I know he's smiling now, seeing it's release. It is an honor and a pleasure to be a part of this record." (Eric Kupper - October 2015)

"I've always been a Jamie Principle fan since Baby Wants To Ride. To be able to work on his record is an honor. I really had fun mixing 'Boyz' - it put me in a Red Zone mode. I'm very happy to be part of this project." (David Morales - October 2015)

"I'm humbled and honored to be part of this project and to finally let the world hear 'Boyz!'. It's a timeless tune that's going to cater to many fans especially with the wide range of remixes that are releasing on vinyl. Long live Frankie and the talented Jamie Principle." (Hector Romero - October 2015)

"Jamie is a reminder of the good music we had with Frankie. 'Boyz!' is sure to become a classic Director's Cut tune." (Judy Weinstein - October 2015)

"Frankie sent me a message asking if Pete and I could do a old style Fire island mix for him. It was an absolute honour and we were privileged to hear him play it when he spun at Shoreditch House in London. When Frankie called everyone answered." (Terry Farley - October 2015)
