I'm not sure what I would do if a fire erupted in my apartment, where my entire record collection is stashed. I know I would probably be crying on the sidewalk as the firetruck pulls up, that's for sure. Although my collection is fairly deep, it's not nearly worth $100,000.

A collection of over 20,000 records, expected to be valued at around $100,000, was destroyed when a detached garage went up in flames in Port Townsend, Washington.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find the garage completely engulfed in flames. There was no one inside the building at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but no foul play was expected.

Sadly, the owners did not have insurance for their record collection.
