About five years ago, both Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week took place during two separate weeks, but after that one specific year they came back together unified. Five years later here in 2016, they've announced separate weeks once again and it appears that all the events and festivities have fallen on Miami Music Week. Therefore, we bring you coverage of MMW and present you with the events that will rise to the occasion for this extra special week of non-stop dance music in beautiful and crazy Miami.

Mindshake

Paco Osuna's Mindshake imprint is scheduled for a six-date touring showcase that's slated to make it's final stop at Trade Nightclub in South Beach on the first eve of Miami Music Week. Joining Mindshake's seasoned label boss for the techno-heavy soiree will be none other than 8bit head honcho Nick Curly, Parisian techno specialist Paul Ritch, and last but not least, Egbert who will be performing what is sure to an incredible live PA.

Hospital

South London's premiere Drum 'n' Bass imprint Hospital Records takes over the Congress Hotel rooftop pool for ten hours of insanely high-quality DnB courtesy of some of the best in the game.

There are many boat parties to choose from in Miami but year in and year out there is only one boat party that consistently boasts an amazing experience each and every day during Miami Music Week.  Magnetic Grooves sails daily with a different event each day, but on March 17th it will truly be a special one as Lee Burridge and his divine colleague Hoj will be maneuvering your audio journey through the majestic Biscayne Bay. Rumor has it that the Kindisch camp threw the best party all around this past January in Tulum. It featured a similar lineup to this one and it took place at a cenote. So to continue on the magical vibes, Kindisch is putting together a midweek event at one of South Beach's coolest clubs, Do Not Sit On The Furniture.

Whatever you have planned on Wednesday night, make sure that your road eventually leads to Miami's biggest and baddest nightclub, Space! This night will feature some of techno's rising stars such as Gardens Of God, Pan-Pot, Agoria, and one of it's biggest stars at the moment, Kolsch. In addition, Dubfire is set to play back to back with Chris Liebing and it's likely to go very late into the morning so don't forget your shades.

What was formerly the annual Radio 1 pool party has been unofficially taken over by Pete Tong as his annual All Gone Pete Tong pool party at the Surfcomber. Expect this one to be particularly special because Pete Tong has paired up some great DJs together for back to back sets that would normally be unheard of. This event WILL sell out!

Paradise

Read 'em and weep because this roster is fairly massive! In addition to the Hot Creations residents, artists like Bob Moses, Matthew Dear, and everyone's current favorite The Martinez Brother will all be heading up the bill. Last year's Paradise party in Miami sold out so expect this one to do the same.

Miami MoodDAY

The Raleigh Hotel will definitely be a hotspot on South Beach this year and Nicole Moudaber's MoodDAY event is a must. The lineup consists of a who’s who of techno, including Detroit icon Carl Craig, Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus, underground innovator ENDO, Berlin duo Pan-Pot, emotional house hero Guti with a live set, and of course, Nicole Moudaber herself.

Get Lost Miami

Damian Lazarus and his Crosstown Rebels crew dropped yet another festival size Get Lost lineup on us and it's set to take place on Saturday, March 19th all within a span of 24 hours!  

Some of the highlights featured on this 11th annual Get Lost Miami party include Carl Craig who spun an unbelievable two hour set last year in the gallery. Legendary grammy award winning DJ David Morales, Bpitch control label boss Ellen Allien, Venezuelan techno duo Fur Coat, Sweden's other biggest export Jonas Rathsman, and of course, the one and only Sasha who will be opening the event with a special two-hour set on Saturday morning.

Boris brings an elite line-up of artists to Miami Music Week this year at his annual Transmit Recordings Showcase on Saturday, March 19th, 2016. This year, the event takes place at the new and highly anticipated venue Heart Nightclub, Miami's newest hot spot for proper underground house and techno. The three story, 20,000 SF venue is equipped with a state of the art Dynacord Alpha concept system, ready to feed your ears with techno! This fire line-up includes Christian Smith, Harry Romero, Joeski , Koutarou A, Ramiro Lopez, Richie Santana, Saeed Younan and Boris.

The 5th annual Last Resort soiree always throws down on the closing Sunday of Miami Music Week and in addition it always boasts nothing but top talent. If you're in search of a Bass music fix, HOMEBASS will be the best place to get it. With events going all week, it won't be easy to pick which dates to attend. Looking for the UK heads? Flux Pavilion, Doctor P and Calyx & Teebee headline the Circus vs RAM event on March 15th. Datsik has his own night on the 17th and Bro Safari's Animal House is sure to be a wild event. Plus we got Bass music heavyweights Brillz, Snails, Stanton Warriors, Icey, Craze, Slander and NGHTMRE all set to take the decks.
