By the time you get around to reading this I should have (in theory) dragged my ass around 13.1 miles of Liverpool for a half marathon - powered by the drum and bass playlist of my dreams. In actuality, I will probably make ill-informed panic selections the night before- and then forgot to charge the bloody iPod shuffle properly...it will inevitably die a sad death 10 minutes deep into the race. And I will follow suit not 5 minutes later. But the hope is there and alive - wish me luck!

Last week's riddims...

'Flat Line' - Wilkinson ft. Wretch 32 [RAM Records]

Watch this space - OUT ON SATURDAY  - will embed the link as soon as it comes available. For the moment though ... anticipation!!

Annnnd it's dropped! Boom.

'4URGH' - SpectraSoul [Ish Chat]

First track from Spectra's brand new self-owned label! Interesting style...not exactly what I expected but interesting nonetheless...

'Skin Crawler' - Black Sun Empire & State of Mind ft. Tiki Taane [Blackout NL]

So proud to be a New Zealander. Tiki Taane on the MC brings a tear to my eye and a pang in my heart.

'Nationwide Rocker' - Tantrum Desire [Technique Recordings]

If anything is capable of rocking the nation it's the vocal excerpt on this track.

'Dark Rider (SCAR Remix)' - Goldie, Rufige Kru [Metalheadz]

Going from strength to strength on the Beatport chart - as you would expect with Goldie at the helm. SCAR is actually Script & Survival - 2 dudes (no cup) who have been involved in the biz for years and years. Old pros.

'Oscillator' - Delta Heavy [RAM Records]

The A-side to the final release before 'Paradise Lost' drops in full (brilliant B-side is Fun House). It's been a long road but the journey has been a bloody enjoyable one!

'Zealot' - L 33 [Eatbrain]

Strong introduction for the techtastic 'Zealot' and the hum intertwined throughout is killer.

'I Remember U' - Cartoon feat. Jüri Pootsmann [NCS]

Bubblegum drum and bass but nice tune all the same - enjoy quietly so the neighbours don't judge.

'Sugar (Teddy Killerz Remix)' - Wild Culture and Karmin [BMG Rights]

The Teddy Killerz could give Midas a run for his money - allow me to unecessarily explain myself - absolutely everything they touch becomes pure gold.

'Cobra' - Drumsound & Bassline Smith [Playaz]

Beasty little number be winding itself around yo' eardrums like a...well, a cobra, actually.
