The progressive nature of house music is really starting to show through, as is evident here on the latest top ten house tracks this week. Sure, there's a bit of the classic sound sprinkled in, but overall the sound continues to evolve with more record labels and artists ditching the sound of yesterday and trading it in for a progressive, techier motif that has become en vogue. But regardless of what sound is current and what sound is out, the ten best tracks this week are all brilliant in their own right.

1. 'MIDNIGHT ON RAINBOW ROAD (BEAT EDIT)' - LEON VYNEHALL [RUSH HOUR]

Leon Vynehall isn't just behind one of my favorite house tracks in recent memory, 'It's Just', but he's also responsible for what I consider the best track released this year thus far. The tune is called 'Midnight On Rainbow Road' and it's about as dreamy and ethereal as they come so be prepared to drift away.

2. 'TENTACLES' - KIKI FEAT JADELE [EXPLOITED]

The Exploited imprint lands back on my radar thanks to a ridiculously amazing new tune called 'Tentacles' by Kiki which was recently featured as Pete Tong's essential new tune. Expect this one to stick around throughout the year.

3. 'WICKEDNESS' - ALEXIS RAPHAEL [OF UNSOUND MIND]

Skream's Of Unsound Mind imprint unleashes yet another underground floor-filler aptly entitled 'Wickedness' by London-based producer Alexis Raphael.

4. 'LUCERO DEL ALBA' - HENRY SAIZ [SUARA]

Spanish producer Henry Saiz has been known worldwide for some fairly prolific dance music but his latest EP on Suara is truly a testament to how spectacular his music can be.

5. 'ALWAYS ON MY MIND' - SERGE DEVANT [CROSSTOWN REBELS]

Crosstown Rebels head honcho Damian Lazarus has been holding onto this one for some time now but as of this last Friday, we now all have the opportunity to purchase this slick and hypnotic dance gem.

6. 'GRAVITY (MIDAS 104 REMIX)' - ANIMAL PICNIC [STEYOYOKE]

Steyoyoke celebrates their fourth year in existence with a fourth edition compilation entitled Steyoyoke Anniversary Volume 04 which features remixes of some of 2015's best tracks. Featured here on the top ten chart is a refreshingly organic re-rub of 'Gravity' by Berlin-based producer, Midas 104.

7. 'FREEFALL' - FRANCESCA LOMBARDO [ECHOE]

The first ever issue from Italian artist Francesca Lombardo's imprint comes from none other than herself. The record label is simply called Echoe and the premiere tune entitled 'Freefall' is an unsurprisingly hypnotic dance track that boasts a vibrant rhythm that is sure to whisk you away.

8. 'LOVE APPAREL' - LORENZO DADA [CULPRIT]

Classically trained producer Lorenzo Dada makes his debut on L.A.'s own Culprit with a silky smooth track entitled, 'Love Apparel'.

9. 'GO GO GO' - WAZE & ODYSSEY [DIRT CREW RECORDINGS]

UK House Music duo Waze & Odyssey never let us down and their latest single 'Go Go Go' is no exception. This eight-minute tune is a roller coast ride through filter disco-house wonderland that makes me nostalgic for 2001.

10. 'K308' - DUBSPEEKA [LAST NIGHT ON EARTH]

Dubspeeka is another artist who has had a string of amazing tunes released on labels like Suara, Off Recordings, Drumcode, and as featured here in the top ten chart on Sasha's well lauded Last Night On Earth imprint. It's his Sophomore appearance on the label and it is brilliant to say the least as it is neatly packed with three highly intelligent tracks that we are sure will propel Dubspeeka to next level status!
