Fatboy Slim has shared information on a new track he produced in collaboration with actor and musician Idris Elba.
The new track was produced for Elba's upcoming film Bastille Day and Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, spoke to NME to discuss how the collaboration came about.
“I don’t know if it’s under wraps so I don’t want to get in trouble by saying too much,” Cook revealed. “It’s called Bastille Day, and we’ve written a song together, and Idris sings on it which is fun."
“I’ve seen him DJ many times, that’s how we ended up knowing each other. We share the same management so we’re often on the bill together, and that’s how we became pals.”
The film, which is set to be released later this year, sees Elba star as a CIA agent investigating a bombing in Paris. Also featured in the film is Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden, Charlotte Le Bon, Eriq Ebouaney and José Garcia.
This isn't the first time we've seen Fatboy Slim and Idris Elba link up for a musical collaboration. The two artists produced a version of Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ last year, which you can listen to below.
